Los Narejos is a large residential area on the northern side of Los Alcazares, which merges into the town itself. The town of Los Alcazares sits on the edge of the Mar Menor, Europe’s largest saltwater coastal lake, spanning 170 km2. The lovely sandy beaches stretch for 7 km, and the attractive paved promenade is ideal for walking and cycling, with bars and cafes along the way providing a welcoming stop for refreshments or an evening sundowner and tapa.

There are plenty of places to eat out, with a good variety of restaurants, takeaways, and cafes, including those on the popular 525 walkway, serving many kinds of cuisine to suit all tastes and budgets. The “Old Town” area of Los Alcazares was the original fishing village and is where one finds the Nautical Club, Marina, and some of the best fish restaurants. The Encarnacion Hotel, built back in 1904, is the oldest hotel in the area and still retains its original charm and character. It has a lovely setting for a special evening out.

Los Alcazares is one of the top destinations for visitors in the region of Murcia, and with 315 days of sunshine a year and an average annual temperature of 18ºC, it is the perfect place to relax or enjoy a variety of water sports and activities all year round. On the north edge of Los Alcazares is Roda Golf, and on the southern end is Serena Golf, both just a 5-minute drive from the town centre.
